Launched in 1957 with phenomenal success, the Fiat 500 was at the time the smallest car in the world, nicknamed in France the "yoghurt pot". The story could have ended in 1975, with its 3 800 000 units sold, but Fiat launched the new Fiat 500 in 2007. Voted car of the year 2008, it has already sold more than 800 000 units.
