The BSA Front Wheel Drive Cars
This book is the first to explore the little-known car production of the Birmingham Small Arms company (BSA). Initially rooted in gun manufacturing, BSA expanded into bicycles, motorcycles, and cars, eventually acquiring Daimler. In 1929, BSA introduced an innovative front-wheel-drive three-wheeler, leading to more conventional front-wheel-drive models, including the Three Wheeler, FW32, T9, and Scout. These models were considered groundbreaking, as BSA pioneered large-scale front-wheel-drive production worldwide, a concept now common in the automotive industry. However, due to wartime needs, car production halted in 1940.
Drawing on his expertise in aeronautics and exclusive access to the BSA archive and the BSA Front Wheel Drive Club, Graham Skillen has created a comprehensive book that will appeal not only to BSA enthusiasts but to classic car fans as well.
