The history of the TMB Bookshop goes back to 1986, when Transmobiel Truck & Bus Magazine started offering books to its readers by mail order.
In the year 2000, the book department got its own online store: the TMB Bookshop. The offer gradually expanded over the next 20 years to thousands of books devoted to transport by road, sea and air.
The Covid epidemic and Brexit have dramatically changed the book world since 2020. Anticipating this, we converted the TMB Bookshop from a traditional webshop to the 6-language platform tmbbooks.com, presenting more than 20,000 books on transportation in a clear way. As always, the books are described as accurately as possible.
We no longer sell books ourselves, but provide links to large, international suppliers (such as Amazon and bol) that can deliver quickly and at good prices.
Because printing prices have risen sharply, much less new books are published in the field of transportation. However, many older books are still interesting. Therefore, we also link to used books, which can get a second life this way. This also benefits the environment!
The offer on our website is updated daily. Unfortunately, the publication of a printed catalog or a price list is therefore not possible.
To quickly find a book on a certain subject, please use the search function on our website.
The keywords you type are important:
Preferably use type designations and not brands. For example, if you are looking for a workshop manual on a Ford Mondeo, type "Mondeo" in the search box. After pressing the OK-button a list of books about the Mondeo will appear.
Try variations. For example, if you are looking for a workshop manual on a Honda GL1500, try both GL 1500 (with space) and GL1500 (without space).
You can also try to search on the engine capacity (cc). If your BMW motorcycle has a displacement of 797 cc, typing the number 797 will list all books containing this number, including various workshop books for BMW motorcycles.
The language is stated for each book on the website. The books are only available in the indicated language.

The TMB Bookshop does not have a store: tmbbooks.com is an online platform that presents a selection of books by subject and provides links to various vendors.
For over 25 years, TMB Bookshop has been a trusted specialist in technical and repair literature. We present more than 15,000 titles covering cars, motorcycles, trucks, tractors, military vehicles, aircraft, ships, and trains. Whether you are a professional mechanic, collector, or restorer, our catalogue includes authoritative workshop manuals and reference books in print and digital formats.
On tmbbooks.com you will find factory workshop manuals (original reprints), repair manuals from publishers such as Haynes, Chilton, Clymer, Bentley and others, as well as parts catalogues, owner’s manuals, and restoration and tuning guides. Each title includes details on the language, format, and applicable models.
Many titles are in English, but books are offered only in the language specified in each product description. However, you can download free Haynes technical dictionaries in PDF format in several languages to assist with terminology and translation.
Many manuals are available both as printed books and as instant downloads in PDF, Kindle, or ePub formats. Availability is clearly indicated in each product listing.
