Cisitalia - Una storia di coraggio e passione
This book recounts the history of Cisitalia, a small, almost family-run Italian car maker that created remarkable cars in the years just after the Second World War.
Led by Piero Dusio, a wealthy industrialist from Piedmont, the company produced the famous Cisitalia 202 coupé designed by Pininfarina, a model once displayed at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
The book also describes Cisitalia's racing activity. The firm built several single-seaters, including the light and fast D46, as well as a Grand Prix car designed by Ferdinand Porsche.
Written by Nino Balestra, who has published other works on Cisitalia, the book covers the marque's full production from 1946 to the mid-1960s. Rare archive photographs, some published for the first time, enrich the narrative.
The volume concludes with the detailed restoration of a 202 Cabriolet, returned to its original condition.
