Isetta - Ein Auto bewegt die Welt

The BMW Isetta is still a real hit today and was the best-selling car model from Bavaria until the 1960s. This book tells the story of Iso, founded in the Milan suburb of Bresso in the early 1950s. Over about thirty years, the company became known for its wide range of products, a story both fascinating and little known today.

Iso produced everything from electrical household appliances under the Isothermos brand to scooters and light motorcycles like the Isomoto; three-wheeled vans such as the Isocarro; the innovative Isetta microcar; and grand touring cars including the Iso Rivolta GT, Grifo, Fidia, and Lele.

The book explores the technical details of these products and the company's history, reconstructed through interviews with key figures and archival photographs.

Iso's sporting achievements are also covered, from participation in races like the Mille Miglia, 24 Hours of Le Mans, and even Formula One.
The narrative continues to the present day, describing the revival of the brand in the 1990s with prototypes such as the Grifo, Isicity, and Isigò city cars, direct successors of the Isetta.
