Aston Martin Made in Britain
Aston Martin's first, wickedly fast models were forged at a time when Ferrari's premises at Maranello was nothing but a ploughed field. This book celebrates a century of innovators who kept the fire burning brightly for over a century, from the visionary pioneers Martin and Bamford to modern-day design guru Adrian Newey; from a glamorous web of pre- and post-war spies and racing drivers, to David Brown and the achingly beautiful DB models beloved of Bonds past and present.
Ben Collins explores the car with the double-o prefix from a unique perspective behind the wheel, carving through country lanes in his father's V8 Vantage, driving Aston Martins in four James Bond movies and competing against them in the legendary Le Mans 24-hour race. Ultimately, this is a very British success story: of a triumph of engineering that has burned brightly from the Roaring 20s to the 2020s, and an iconic car that never says die.
From bestselling author, racer and stunt driver Ben Collins - the man who was The Stig - comes a story of spies, speed and hard-driving genius: a driver's love letter to one of the world's best-loved machines.

John Christopher takes a fresh look at 100 years of Britain's most iconic car company, Aston Martin. From the origins of the Aston Martin marque, through the gadget-laden stars of numerous James Bond films, to the prestigious super-cars that continue to be market leaders throughout the world.
Aston Martin was nearly called Bamford Martin, as founders Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford were already selling cars together, but in the end the company was named after the Aston Hill speed hill-climb near Aston Clinton in Buckinghamshire. Their first car was produced in 1915 but war and financial troubles often tempered progress and the company went through various changes in ownership on its way to becoming the global icon it is today.
Following the typical Story book format, this sleekest of cars is celebrated with a wealth of colour photographs, facts and statistics.

Renowned for their reliability and performance, these cars excelled in endurance racing, including the prestigious Le Mans 24 Hours. This book examines Aston Martin models from Bertelli's era, such as the 1.5-litre First, Second, and Third Series cars, as well as the 2-Litre range introduced in 1936. Notable models like the International, Le Mans, Mark II, Ulster, and Speed are detailed.
The book also highlights the post-Bertelli contributions of engineer Claude Hill and owner Gordon Sutherland, who developed innovative prototypes like "Donald Duck" and Atom, laying the groundwork for the company's post-war resurgence under David Brown.
Accompanied by a wealth of contemporary and modern photographs, this book serves as a definitive guide to Aston Martin's pre-war cars. It celebrates the enduring appeal of these vehicles, cherished by enthusiasts and preserved through the efforts of the Aston Martin Owners Club. A valuable resource for collectors and admirers, it showcases the legacy of a unique era in Aston Martin's history.

Aston Martin Ulster : The remarkable history of CMC 614 (Exceptional Cars)
CMC 614 is the registration number of an historic Aston Martin Ulster which has, without doubt, competed in more races than any other Aston. Built in 1935 to the same specification as the factory team cars, it took part in the Le Mans 24 Hour race, the Mille Miglia, and the Tourist Trophy in 1935. Eddie Hall and Count Johnny Lurani were among the celebrated drivers who raced it in its first season.
The 1.5 litre Ulster model marked the peak of Aston's pre-war achievements and marque enthusiasts recognize CMC 614 as one of the finest examples of the 28 made - as well as the most raced Aston of all time.
Today, CMC 614 is presented as equipped for Le Mans in 1935 and is original in virtually all respects, having been maintained by Ecurie Bertelli, the business which Edwards co-founded with fellow Ulster owner Nick Mason. The book is lavishly illustrated with a mix of period and contemporary images including a gallery of colour photographs showing the car and all its fascinating details.

Aston Martin - Alliance du sport et du luxe (Autofocus)
Since the brand was founded in 1913, Aston Martin has continually pushed the performance, aesthetics and quality of its models to the extreme. Derived from racing prototypes, the pre-war cars allowed the brand to build its reputation on the circuits. This was followed by the legendary DBs of the David Brown era, and particularly the media-friendly DB5 driven by the famous agent 007. The arrival of the V8 in the early 1970s ushered in a new generation of Aston Martins, giving birth to the famous DBS V8 and AM V8, then to the Vantage line, not forgetting the very exclusive Lagonda. In 2001, the brand impressed with the astonishing Vanquish and its 6-litre V12. Three years later, the DB9 and its convertible version, the Volante, completed the range, making the brand more accessible. Aston Martin is synonymous with excellence and its legendary vehicles are recognized as the most coveted in the world.
This book traces the history of Aston Martin and its sports cars.
