In circuit racing across Europe, the 914 often won its class and even claimed overall victories. In the United States, it performed strongly in IMSA GTU, national and international competitions, as well as numerous SCCA regional races. The 914 began racing in 1970 and continues to appear in SCCA GT classes today.
