Morgan Three-Wheeler
NEW
The cyclecar emerged in the early 1900s to meet demand for very low-cost personal transport. In 1910, the three-wheeled Morgan led this new movement and proved more successful than its rivals, outlasting all other specialist cyclecar makers after mass-produced cars such as the Austin Seven appeared in the early 1920s. Apart from the interruptions of two world wars, Morgan three-wheelers were built from 1910 to 1952 and returned to production after a revival in 2012.
This book examines the origins of these distinctive vehicles, explains how they work, and describes the family behind their creation. It covers all Morgan three-wheeler models, past and present, and reviews their notable sporting history. Many previously unpublished facts, figures, and photographs are included.
Author Stephen Clark bought his first Morgan in 1998 and later restored an early two-speed three-wheeler, which he has driven widely in the UK and France. Drawing on his experience as registrar and director of the Morgan Three-Wheeler Club, the book offers clear and informed guidance on this unique vehicle.
