The Complete Register of Jaguar C-types, D-types and Lightweight E-types
Jaguar's name remains iconic in the world of British cars that have won the prestigious Le Mans 24-hour race. Just 20 years after the creation of their first car, Jaguar became Britain's top high-performance brand with the revolutionary XK engine, and the XK120 was the fastest production car in the world at the time.
In a bold move, Jaguar created the C-type specifically to compete at Le Mans, winning on its first attempt. Four additional victories followed: the C-type in 1953, and three wins for the D-type between 1955 and 1957. By then, the factory team had withdrawn from racing, but private owners continued racing C- and D-types for years.

Although the E-type was not designed for racing, it enhanced Jaguar's reputation with its competition versions and lightweight cars. Many C- and D-types were sold to private owners, who often raced them, but they were still street-legal, which contributed to their lasting appeal.
The first edition of this book, published in 2014, was highly praised as the definitive guide to these classic cars. The expanded edition, with over 400 pages and 500 illustrations, updates the stories of over 150 cars and includes new information and appendices.
