Great Small FIATs
Fiat is perhaps best known for its ability to produce small, economical, characterful cars. 'Great Small Fiats' traces this concept from the birth of the 500A 'Topolino' in the 1930s up to the recent Panda and Nuova 500s.
The author chose the Topolino as the starting point. It was the first Fiat built in the late 1930s to satisfy the Italian public's new-found desire for mobilisation. The old conventions of car production were turned upside down with the arrival of the 600 which revolutionised car production techniques and maximised on passenger space and performance at minimal cost. These principles continued via a succession of models which include the 500, 850, 126, 127 through to more recent models like the Cinquecento and Seicento.
Running in parallel with these 'cheeky' Fiats, this book covers a range of slightly larger cars that were built in huge numbers. Though rather staid in appearance, the 1950s Millecento was family transport for millions of Italians covering three decades, four when the Indian-built cars are included. Similarly the 128, Panda and Uno were 'the' Italian small cars of the '70s, '80s and '90s. Nuova Panda carries the banner through to recent models.
This book chronicles the greatest of these cars in well-researched detail. With 200 photos, ownership and restoration advice as well as production histories this is a fantastic book for any fan of Italian cars.

Il grande libro delle sportive Fiat - Spider e coupé
The history of Fiat is not only made up of the large utility cars and sedans that characterized its production but also of a series of glorious "sports cars", spiders and coupes. This particular category of cars includes cars such as the glorious Balilla 508 Spider from 1933, the first Fiat "sports car" of the modern era, the 1100 S from 1947, the 8Vs and the 1100/103 TVs from the 1950s. The next twenty years turned out to be no less rich, with the elegant 1200, 1500 and 1600 cabriolets by Pininfarina, but also with the spirited 2300 S by Ghia, the fascinating 850 Coupé and Spider and the unforgettable 124 Sport and Dino, also in open and closed version.
This volume, which goes as far as the most recent cars such as the "Barchetta", the Coupé and the Punto Cabrio, is illustrated with precious material in color and black and white and provides a detailed technical data sheet for each model.
