Citroën Méhari
A pure product of the 1960s, the Citroën Méhari was produced for almost 20 years. Among all the fun derivatives of production cars, born during this prosperous era, the Méhari is the only one to have enjoyed immense commercial success with almost 150, 000 units assembled.
Playful or utilitarian, the Méhari is one of the rare cars that can now be completely restored with new parts and the happy owners do not deprive themselves of it! Beach car for transporting surfboards, or a stroll in the forest, nothing scares it with its plastic body.
It even had the right to a confidential 4 x 4 version, very sought after today. Even the French army equipped many regiments with it as a liaison vehicle. It must be said that it was difficult to have a more economical vehicle, because it was built on the basis of the famous 2CV.
François Allain's "Citroën Méhari" takes its place in the new collection Icônes, abundantly illustrated with documents, most of which have never been published before. The Méhari is placed in its time, amidst the events that punctuated the 60s, 70s and 80s.
