The second volume of the Klemm series explores the historical sites where Hanns Klemm worked and traces the last surviving aircraft he designed in over 50 years as an aeronautical engineer and entrepreneur.
Locating the former production sites of German sport aircraft is difficult more than 60 years after Klemm production ended. Many key locations of the original Klemm factories are now built over and known only to a few specialists and local historians. The first part of the book documents these often forgotten sites.
The second part focuses on the surviving Klemm aircraft. Of the more than 3.000 originally built, about 100 remain, most carefully maintained and often still airworthy by dedicated owners.
The book provides a comprehensive overview of Klemm's achievements, his historic locations, and the preserved aircraft, complemented by photographs, historical documents, and technical data.
