Saab 35 Draken
The Saab 35 Draken (""the kite"" in English) was a Swedish fighter aircraft developed and manufactured by SAAB between 1955 and 1974. Draken was a design ahead of its time, producing the revolutionary double-delta wing mainplane configuration. It was also the first fully supersonic aircraft to be deployed in Western Europe. The Draken was introduced into service with the Swedish Air Force (SAF) on 8 March 1960. Drakens served from 1960 through 2005 and proved their worth in over 640 production aircraft.
This book is the most comprehensive on the Draken yet published in English, with: - numerous photographs of the aircraft in service, several of which have never been published before; - walkaround photographs of the preserved aircraft; - illustrations from contemporary manuals; - original colour artwork.

Saab-Flugzeuge - Verkehrs- und Militärflugzeuge aus Schweden
Almost all European countries were already working on setting up national aircraft factories before the Second World War. But aircraft can only be improved with a lot of know-how and only a few manufacturers are successful - many have to give up. The large country of Sweden, with only 8.9 million inhabitants, supplies itself in order to maintain its neutrality. Always located between the conflicting parties, it developed a huge military industry whose products could also be sold to other countries. The most prominent representative of this industry is the company Saab, which established itself very early on as a major aircraft and automobile manufacturer.
