Opel Blitz 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 Ton Lorries (Camera On)

Opel Blitz (German for "lightning") was the name given to various light and middle-weight truck series built by the German automobile manufacturer Opel from 1930.
This book focuses on the light version of the Blitz lorry deployed by the Wehrmacht during World War II:
- Opel Blitz type 3,5-134 and 3,5-157;
- Opel Blitz type 2,0-12;
- Opel Blitz type 2,5-35;
- Opel Blitz type 5200.

In this volume the author provides a detailed impression of these vehicles through original photographs, taken both during and before the war by the normal German soldiers who both used and served with these now classic lorries.

Opel Blitz 1931-1975 (Schrader Typen Chronik)

The Opel Blitz was what the Beetle was for car manufacturing: the benchmark in terms of both durability and reliability. And like the Beetle, it was launched in the 1930s, rolled off the production line in gigantic numbers and was still the undisputed market leader in the class of small trucks with a payload of two tons in the 1950s.

After the parent company General Motors decided to introduce a British Bedford instead of the Blitz, the traditional series came to an end. What remains are pictures, reports and brochures of this small economic miracle, which find their place in this book by Wolfgang Westerwelle.

In dit boek kijken we naar de hoogtijdagen van de populairste lichte vrachtwagen van de jaren vijftig: De Opel Blitz van het modeljaar 1952.
De Blitz met de 'ronde neus' bleek voor veel kleine zelfstandigen de ideale wagen. Van kolenboer tot melkrijder en van groenteboer tot oud-ijzerhandelaar.
