Mack Truck 10-Ton 6 x 4 - Technical Manual (TM 9-818)

El Mack Modelo NR era un camión pesado construido para uso militar desde 1940 hasta 1945 por la Corporación de Manufactura Mack de Nueva York, EE. UU. El Modelo NR se utilizaba principalmente para remolcar remolques que transportaban equipos pesados como tanques y grandes excavadoras. También se utilizaba para remolcar cañones pesados de campaña.
Sus ejes bígiés anchos y sus neumáticos extragrandes eran ideales para el servicio en el desierto, permitiéndoles "flotar" sobre la arena. Muchos Modelos NR fueron suministrados bajo el Programa de Préstamo y Arriendo a Gran Bretaña, Australia, Rusia y otros países aliados.

El motor diésel Mack del Modelo NR fue el resultado de casi una década de trabajo de desarrollo por parte de la innovadora compañía. Utilizaba el diseño de cámara de combustión Lanova.
