A richly illustrated book about the oldest Jelcz motor vehicles and trailers produced in the years 1952-1970. Describes all types of Jelcz bodies mounted on the chassis of various trucks, Żubr trucks and derivatives, fire and special vehicles (mobile repair workshops), Jelcz-LIAZ truck prototypes, Jelcz 300 series trucks, the bus prototypes Star Jot-55 and Żubr A-81 Odra, Jelcz-Karosa buses and derivatives, as well as special vehicles and bus trailers.
It contains many archival, so far unpublished photos of vehicles produced by JZS.

Describes the trucks of the Jelcz 300 M and Jelcz 320 families, Jelcz utility vehicles based on the chassis structure of the Steyr 1490 and Steyr 1491, trucks of the Jelcz 410 family, fire trucks, specialized and special bodies, Jelcz-Berliet buses and derivatives, buses produced in cooperation with Yugoslavia and vehicles that were developed in cooperation with other companies, including the Hydromil II water cannon produced by FSS "Polmo-SHL" Kielce on the Jelcz P-420 truck chassis.

Describes the trucks Jelcz 422, Jelcz 423, Jelcz 424, Jelcz 442, Jelcz 622, Jelcz 623, Jelcz 642, Jelcz 662, Jelcz 842, Jelcz C 425 MB tractor units and fire trucks as well as Jelcz 120 M city buses, the low-floor buses Jelcz M 121, Jelcz M 125 DANA, Jelcz M 181, Jelcz M 183 M, the Jelcz local bus L 120, midi class buses, Jelcz T 120 long-distance and intercity buses and the prototype low-floor trolleybus Jelcz M 121 MT.

The development and operation of the Jelcz plants in the years 1995-1998, assembly and production of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, creation and operation of "Vito-Jelcz" Sp. z o.o., the return of the Jelcz brand to the eastern market, cooperation between ZS Jelcz SA and the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, the characteristics of diesel engines used in Jelcz vehicles and the types of cabins used in trucks are presented.
