Büssing was known for building high-quality and reliable buses in addition to heavy and sturdy trucks. Countless bus types and variants left the Braunschweig factory.
And with success, because in the 1960s Büssing was at the top of German regular-service bus registrations with its Senator, Prefect and President series. "An attractive, compact vehicle with the driving characteristics of a car, " wrote the trade press at the time.
