L'œuvre de Carlo Abarth, issue de sa célèbre manufacture de voitures de sport de Turin entre les années 1950 et 1970, comprend une gamme impressionnante d'automobiles fascinantes, du modèle Fiat standard modifié aux prototypes fabriqués à la main.

À l'occasion de son 70e anniversaire, les voitures de course uniques Abarth de la collection Möll ont été présentées sous un nouveau jour par des photographes internationaux renommés. Accompagné d'images historiques et des souvenirs personnels des témoins de cette époque et des légendes du sport automobile, ils offrent un voyage visuellement stupéfiant dans un âge d'or de la course automobile.

Il mistero 204 - La prima Abarth, l'ultima Cisitalia

Cet ouvrage illustré analyse l'origine de la Cisitalia-Abarth 204, la voiture dans laquelle Nuvolari remporta la dernière victoire de sa carrière. Il explique qui a réellement conçu le modèle, pourquoi seulement huit exemplaires étaient prévus et combien furent réellement produits. Il précise aussi pourquoi une voiture créée par Cisitalia fut ensuite associée à Carlo Abarth et comment le déclin de Cisitalia permit la naissance de la marque Abarth.

Le livre présente des photos rares et des documents inédits, dont le contrat entre Cisitalia et Porsche pour la construction de la F.1 360 Grand Prix et d'autres projets avancés. Il présente également les acteurs majeurs de cette période décisive à la fin des années 1940, lorsque le Scorpion Abarth devint un nom important de l'histoire automobile.

Un dernier chapitre célèbre le centenaire de l'ingénieur Giovanni Savonuzzi, créateur de la Cisitalia 202 et d'autres modèles connus tels que le prototype Gilda. Il offre un résumé de son œuvre et de son influence longtemps négligée.

Abarth 1949-1971 - Gran Turismo 'Da Corsa' / Racing GTS

This book is distinguished from other publications thanks to a number of innovative, original features. It gives centre place to the images of the various models in question, specifically the Abarth racing GTs, privileging contemporary photographs, almost all of them previously unpublished. The period examined runs from 1949, the year of the official founding of Abarth & C, through to 1971, the conclusion of Abarth's independent history with its acquisition by Fiat.

The book examines only those cars that were raced and they are all documented within the context of specific events. The main aim of the text is to record, year by year, the most evident aesthetic and mechanical modifications made to the individual models. The documentation has all been drawn from rigorously contemporary books, magazines and official programmes and has been faithfully reproduced.

Abarth 1949-1971 - Sport e Prototipi

There was a time in which the Abarths, the cars carrying the Scorpion badge, were challenging far more powerful and prestigious marques such as Porsche and Ferrari in endurance races and the Mountain Championship classics. At that time, between the dawn of the 1950s and the early 1970s, the Abarths wrote memorable chapters in the history of sports car and prototype racing too, with cars of incredible appeal raced by drivers of international repute.

Following the book devoted to Abarth GT racing cars, this volume, again written by Renato Donati, one of the leading Abarth enthusiasts and experts, focuses on the sports cars and prototypes. All the Abarths that have competed in the category, in particular in Italy between 1949 and 1971, are analysed one by one.
As usual, the book is embellished by a wealth of previously unpublished black and white and colour photographs.
