Camions Willème - Le roi du poids lourd
After the victory in 1918, Louis Willème could have taken over the family restaurant, as his parents wished. However, his true passion was mechanics. After working at Grégoire, a specialist in luxury and sports cars, he turned his attention to heavy trucks.
Willème's factory began operations in 1919 by refurbishing and selling Liberty trucks from American army surplus. Thanks to its high-capacity models, the brand quickly established a strong reputation in the heavy-duty sector. In the 1960s, Willème collaborated with Mack, but this period also marked the company's decline.
This richly illustrated book tells the complete story of Willème, highlighting its iconic trucks and heavy tractors.
