IFA H 6 / G 5 (Schrader Typen Chronik)
Both IFA truck types used many of the same components, e.g. the same engine and the same transmission, and were nevertheless intended for very different applications: the G 5 was an off-road, three-axle military truck, while the H 6 was a medium-duty truck for long-distance transport. In the former GDR, both had to work - and they did.
In this volume, Ralf Weinreich presents the two trucks H 6 and G 5 from Werdau and embellishes the nostalgic retrospective with many period-typical photos, drawings and brochure images.
IFA W 50 / L 60 - Die DDR-Frontlenker-Legende (Schrader Typen Chronik)
While there were a large number of medium-sized trucks in the Federal Republic, in the GDR there were only trucks from the Ludwigsfelde industrial works. The IFA types W 50 and L 60 ensured industrial success. There were numerous versions and further developments of the 60 basic models, but the solid technology behind them always remained the same. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, the all-rounders were quickly decommissioned and scrapped. But these products have not been forgotten.
Frank Rönicke recalls the state-owned truck construction in East Germany with detailed descriptions of all truck models and unique, rare pictures.
