DAF Lorries
In 1948, DAF's first prototype lorries were produced and the company maintained the reputation for quality products established by their earlier trailers. A few DAF lorries were exported to the UK in the early 1960s and, within a few years, driven by the newfound legality of sleeper cabs and the production of their own 2600 cab, DAF was a major player in the industry.
Constant innovation in cabs and engines eventually led DAF to become the top-selling heavyweight truck brand in the UK. With its exceptionally diverse range, DAF enjoys an enduring popularity among truck and lorry enthusiasts. This book explores the company's history with a lavish collection of images and detailed captions.

In 1949, production of the first DAF trucks began. In 1950, a new car factory was opened on the Geldropseweg in Eindhoven and this location, in its extended form, is still the beating heart of DAF trucks.
This overview book mainly shows the trucks that were developed and/or built in the Netherlands. The trucks shown and the layout give you a good idea of ??the developments in the truck field at DAF. The book is divided in such a way that each chapter includes a description of ten years of DAF history, after which the different types are discussed. This is followed, for most DAF types, by photos of in and around the factory or at an exhibition and the trucks in many variations at the companies.
Finally, most DAF types are accompanied by photos of a fairground or circus truck or in a rusted state. This shows a life cycle of a DAF truck. In most chapters, the DAFs are listed in order of license plate. Spread throughout the book, there are also brochure covers and drawings.

DAF chassis voor speciale bedrijfswagens - Maatconfectie in bedrijfsautofabricage
This book, part of the DAF monograph series (volume 15), does not focus specifically on one type of DAF truck or series. Instead, it showcases the creativity and transportation solutions that DAF has offered over the years, often playing a pioneering role in the industry.
The subtitle, "Custom Tailoring in Commercial Vehicle Manufacturing," is derived from the brochures of DAF 1502, 1600, and 3200 trucks from 1964. This slogan was inspired by the numerous possibilities in DAF chassis (custom tailoring) featuring the 120 hp DD engine.
The book is organized into five chapters, covering chassis with a central beam, lowered chassis, special multi-axle configurations with double front axles and steerable leading or trailing axles, and tanker trucks in their various forms. The informative text provides an overview of over 90 years of DAF vehicle development, ranging from the swing axle trailer to the 2000 DO and from the 2800 to the current CF Pure Excellence.
