Schlüter-Schlepper 1937-1966 (Typenkompass)
Anton Schlüter first built engines and then threshing machines before moving into tractor construction in 1937. Over the years, Schlüter manufactured increasingly more powerful vehicles, partly because the market began to change at the end of the 1950s and demanded high-performance tractors. But these were precisely the reasons for the company's bankruptcy when a major order from the then Yugoslavian head of state Tito fell through due to the civil war in the 1990s.
In this Typenkompass, Birthe Rosenau presents all the important tractors that Schlüter produced from 1937 to 1966.
The Schlüter engine factory in Freising built tractors from 1937 onwards. It became known for its large tractors, whose power already reached 100 hp in the 1960s and later even 500 hp.
The author tells the story of this traditional company and shows the tractors in their diverse uses in agriculture. New edition of the edition first published in 2005.
