Allgaier und Porsche-Diesel 1945-1962 (Typenkompass)

Georg Allgaier's company, founded in Hattenhofen in 1906, brought its first tractor onto the market in 1946 with the R 18 model. Allgaier did not stop at further developing the R 18.
Released from Allied supervision, the company contacted Professor Porsche. The legendary Porsche tractor was born. From 1956, tractor production took place together with Mannesmann in an assembly plant in Friedrichshafen until it was finally discontinued in 1962.
