Horex

In 1923, when "Horex-Fahrzeugbau AG" was founded, 24-year-old Fritz Kleemann built the first real Horex, a 248 cm³ machine that also proved its worth in racing. Over the years, a product range of 250 to 800 cm³ machines was created.

Horex stopped motorcycle production in 1956; but now its rebirth with a VR6 engine is imminent: the new Horex had its public premiere at the IAA 2015, built in Landsberg/Lech by the specialists of the 3C Carbon Group.
Jürgen Nöll's Horex bible, which had been out of print for a long time, is now finally back - in the best tradition of the company.

Motorcycles from the Horex factory enjoy a legendary reputation many years after the factory gates closed. An enthusiastic fan base, brand clubs, and active spare parts dealers ensure that many Horex motorcycles are still in roadworthy condition.

This book documents Horex motorcycles from 1921 to 1960 using selected brochure illustrations. A logical chronology is used to present each motorcycle (up to the moped), thus illustrating the model developments.

In addition to a wealth of technical information, the brochures, printed in their original color, convey the spirit of the times, which is reflected in the graphic design of these advertising materials.
