Lola T70 Manual (1965 onwards) - An insight into the the design, engineering, maintenance and operation
The Lola T70, developed by Lola Cars in 1965, was designed for sports car racing. The chassis, typically powered by large American V8 engines (mainly Chevrolet and Ford), was highly successful during the mid- to late-1960s. Over 100 T70s were built in three versions: the open-topped Mk I and Mk II Spyder, followed by the Mk III Coupé, and an updated Mk IIIB.
The T70 Coupé was the first Lola to be designed in a wind tunnel. Chief designer Eric Broadley worked with Tony Southgate, creating a car that was both agile and stylish. The final version, the Mk IIIB, is considered one of the most beautiful racing cars of its time.
