Ford Taunus 12M / 15M

The Ford Taunus 12M and 15M, also known as the "World Globe Taunus" or "Stripes Taunus, " was the first post-war mid-range car produced in Cologne, internally called "G13" or "G4B." The car was highly popular and referred to as a "poem in steel."

During the post-war rebuilding period and the economic miracle, a car like the Taunus held much more significance than today. This book explores that era, explaining why the Ford Taunus was more than just a vehicle. It includes numerous drawings and photos from the "Ford Revue" and covers the car's origins, development, and production.

Ford Taunus P5 - Die 'Grosse Wanne' oder das Ende der Vernunft

The Ford Taunus P5, whether as a 17M, 20M, sedan, estate, or coupe, remains a standout on the roads today, just like many other classic cars. But what makes it different? Wasn't it just an ordinary car, much like the millions produced by competitors during the post-war economic boom?

This book takes you back to the era of the economic miracle and explores what made the Taunus P5 both ordinary and special. It provides a look into the time when the car was developed, produced, and used, and also covers its predecessors and successors, along with the technical developments.

La Ford Taunus 17M de mon père

The Ford Taunus 17M, affectionately known as "the bathtub, " is a notable model for many enthusiasts. Its innovative design, featuring Ford's "line of reason" from 1960, was praised by the specialized press of the time. It became the most imported foreign car in France in 1961, strengthening Ford's presence in the country.

Although the 17M P3 was produced until 1964, did you know there was another version, the Taunus Baroque, as early as 1957? Additionally, three other 17M models were released between 1964 and 1972.

This richly illustrated book details the history and evolution of the 17M P3 and its successors. It serves as a valuable source of information and a concise guide for owners, covering the technical aspects, variants, modifications, and special editions.
With over 200 period photos, many previously unpublished, it allows you to rediscover this iconic model and its developments.

Ford Taunus 12M P4: Wie aus einem „Cardinal“ ein Taunus wurde

The Ford Taunus 12M P4 was initially developed under the codename "Cardinal" in the USA. However, production in the US was canceled, and the German Ford branch took over manufacturing, producing a total of 680.206 units of the new model.

Originally, the "Cardinal" was meant to be produced in the USA, but the US management decided to move production to Cologne. With more development resources available in the US, the project began there, but German engineers were consulted for the European-specific complexities.
The new Taunus 12M was launched in September 1962 with the slogan "Much car for the money."

Bernd Tuchen, who worked at Ford from 1973 to 2009, has previously published several books about the company.
