Maserati 4CLT : The remarkable history of chassis no. 1600 (Exceptional Cars)

The latest in the 'Exceptional Cars' series tells the story of one of the two cars bought by The Automovil Club Argentino (ACA). Painted in the bright blue and yellow Argentine racing colours, 1600 was to play an important role in the Argentine team's international expeditions to Europe.
Fangio won two races in the car, the most important being at Pau in 1950, where he repeated his win in the ACA sister car a year earlier.

Maserati 250F in Focus

Competing throughout the 2500cc Grand Prix Formula years of 1954-60, the Maserati 250F is one of the most famous and iconic racing cars ever built. This is one of the most detailed accounts ever written about a single model, and this superbly illustrated book features photographs by Tom March, one of the 1950s leading motor racing photographers, along with historic engine cutaways, chassis drawings, and technical descriptions of the 250F's evolution and development.

Anthony Pritchard's lively and informative text includes reminiscences from some of the leading drivers of the day, including Sir Stirling Moss, Juan Fangio, and Mike Hawthorn - drivers who raced these historic machines during the halycon days when Maserati battled with Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz, and Vanwall for Grand Prix supremacy.

Strony książki Maserati 250F in Focus (1)

From the 1954 Argentine Grand Prix, to the 1960 US Grand Prix, a record of the chassis and race numbers of every 250F to have competed during this period is presented, along with detailed race histories and results, completing this most comprehensive and authoritative of books on Maserati's racing legend.

Covers the period 1952-1960, and the T1 (1954-6 - although examples were raced until the end of 1960), T2 (1956 Italian Grand Prix), T3 Lightweight cars raced by the works in 1957, V12 (1957), Piccolo (1958-59), and the Tec-Mec (1959), the Maserati's successor.

Maserati 250F : The Autobiography of 2528 (Great Cars)

This is the story of a uniquely special example of the Maserati 250F, the breed of car that epitomises the 2 ½-litre front-engined Formula 1 era of 1954-60 and took part in the first and last races of that classic period.

The finest flowering of the 250F came in 1957 with the lightweight version in which Juan Manuel Fangio won the last of his five World Championship titles. Three lightweights were built and the one featured in this book, chassis 2528, was driven to victory by Fangio in the Monaco Grand Prix and by Jean Behra in three non-championship Grands Prix at Pau, Modena and Casablanca.

Maserati 300S plus The Factory Team Cars (2nd Edition)

The Maserati 300S was one of the most successful race cars of the 1950s and among the most beautiful ever built. It was the main opponent of the Ferraris in the World Sportscar Championships of 1956 and 1957.
Described by Sir Stirling Moss as one of the best race cars he had ever driven and loved by every racing driver due to its balanced handling qualities, the 300S wrote motor sports history. Glory and disaster ran side by side adding mystique to the legend.

This much-updated second edition of the "Maserati 300S" by Walter Bäumer, includes many corrections and additions to the original text that have been uncovered in the last ten years. Almost all the photographs are new and previously unpublished, making the book an exciting addition to any Maserati library. The first edition was published in 2008.
Despite the often confusing and inaccurate records that make it difficult to establish the exact fate of each car, the history of each of the twenty-five cars built by Officine Maserati S.p.A. in Modena is listed chassis-by-chassis and profusely illustrated with many period photographs.
A bonus volume of additional photographs of the four factory cars completes the package (two volumes in dust jacket with hard cover and slipcase).

The Maserati A6G 2000 - by Frua, Pininfarina, Vignale, Allemano

Based on the first Maserati GT, the A6-1500, the Modena-based company offered its customers the second series, the A6G 2000, from 1951.
After the more competitive version with the lightweight Zagato body, wealthy customers could choose between four design versions: the bulky design by Pininfarina, the muscular one from Allemano, the glamorous Coupés and Spyder versions by Frua and the eccentric Coupé by Vignale.
All vehicles were slightly different and were among the rarest and most expensive cars of their time. The A6G 2000 was a landmark in Maserati history.

This book describes for the first time the technical development of this type as well as the individual history of all cars in these four versions, chassis by chassis.

Maserati A6GCS

Maserati built remarkable racing cars in the 1950s that are highly valued by many drivers in historic racing today. The darling among these cars is the A6GCS. Small, very agile, and relatively easy to drive, it was THE car in the 2-liter class for the numerous amateur racing drivers in Italy.
The car was driven on countless hill climbs and of course on circuits, and in the legendary Mille Miglia. In race-crazy Italy, the car was always in the focus of the spectators, tens of thousands of whom stood on the streets to watch these small red racers.

The history of the A6GCS gives a very good insight into a time in Italian motorsport which was mainly contested by wealthy amateurs. The names of many of the drivers have been forgotten today, but the vast majority of the A6GCS are still here and are used today at numerous events.

This book pays tribute to perhaps the most romantic Maserati racing car of all time. It includes the history for all 54 chassis and one mystery chassis. The bodies were designed and built by famous coachbuilders: Fantuzzi, Fiandri & Malagoli, Pininfarina, Frua and Vignale.
