ERF Lorries
ERF Limited was founded in 1933 by Edwin Richard Foden and his son Dennis. Under design engineer Ernest Sherratt, the best available components were combined to create lorries known for reliability, good revenue potential, and reasonable running costs.
This approach continued throughout the company's history and proved a successful business model, with many development costs carried by component suppliers.
This book provides a broad overview of ERF, featuring nearly 200 photographs that illustrate the range of models produced over the years. Most images are previously unpublished, offering a fitting tribute to this much-loved manufacturer.
