In June 2005, the heavy transport professionals at Kübler celebrated their 75th anniversary. The first volume about Kübler, which describes the company's history in detail, was published in time for this event. This second volume covers the next five years. The author shows the most exciting transports from the period 2005 to 2010.
Schmidbauer KG (Band 2) - Historische Fotoaufnahmen von 1974 bis 1986
The second volume covers the period from 1974 to 1986. After the work on the subway and the stadiums for the Summer Olympics was largely completed in the early 1970s, a series of interesting heavy transports were undertaken. For example, a Demag H 71 hydraulic excavator was transported to a power plant construction site at an altitude of more than 2200 m using two three-axle MAN tractors. The creation of Fricke-Schmidbauer, which expanded the heavy-duty activities, is documented, as is, for example, the construction of a radio tower using the Liebherr LG 1200.
In 1983 there was a big celebration: 50 years of Schmidbauer and Jakob Schmidbauer's 70th birthday. To mark this anniversary, a new large crane was presented, the Gottwald AK 850, which can lift 1000 tonnes. This was Schmidbauer's 400th crane! In the following years, several 200 250 and 300 tonne telescopic cranes from Demag and Liebherr were also added. In the lattice boom and crawler crane sector, Schmidbauer operated five cranes in the 1000 tonne class in 1985. All of this is illustrated in this second volume using around 500 photographs and explained with expert texts.
