Jawa Motorräder - seit 1923
The Czech motorcycle manufacturer Jawa emerged from a weapons factory. At the end of the 1920s, its owner Janecek seized the opportunity and produced motorcycles under license for the German company Wanderer. Jawa was created from the two names Janecek and Wanderer. The in-house developments from Prague were mainly characterized by two-stroke engines and, from the 1960s, increasingly by sports machines.
In addition to the series motorcycles from 1929 to 1990, Frank Rönicke also documents the off-road sports and motocross machines as well as the Jawa motorcycles from the areas of track sports, trials and road racing in this volume.
