Erik Buell's motorcycles have always stood for highly unusual, uncompromising technology. Whether tubular frame models, XB fuelframers or EBR power bikes - his designs always revolve around the themes of mass centralization and maximizing driving pleasure.
What began in Buell's garage in the 1980s and was later continued as an independent subsidiary of Harley-Davidson ended on October 15 2009 with the closure of the Buell Motorcycle Company. The maverick's motorcycles celebrated their resurrection just one year later under the label "Erik Buell Racing", but this was not without setbacks.
This book is a journey through the history of Buell bikes. It presents the milestones of the brand from East Troy: from the first Buell in 1983 to the latest EBR models with water-cooled 1190 Rotax engines. There are also spectacular conversions, tuning tips, racing and detailed advice on used bikes as well as an exclusive interview with Erik Buell. In addition, the most important technical questions about the tubular frame models are answered in a large special. A must for speed freaks and fans of authentic sport bikes.
