The economy flourished, purchasing power increased and the motorcycle was the ideal means of transport for commuting to work and for leisure. This was the hour of domestic producers such as HMW, KTM, Lohner and Puch. The pioneering companies Puch and Lohner were founded at the beginning of the 20th century, HMW and KTM established themselves later, in the 1950s. They all developed motorcycles and scooters with timeless beauty and elegance.
