Dit prachtige Duke Hawkins fotoboek presenteert uitvoerig de Dassault / Dornier Alpha Jet, in dienst bij vele landen over de hele wereld.
Het boek bevat niet alleen actiefoto's, maar ook vele "walkaround" foto's die de details van het toestel uit verschillende hoeken tonen. Hoofdstukken over cockpit, romp, bewapening en onderhoudswerkzaamheden.

Dassault Super Etendard

The Dassault Super Étendard, which became the Super Étendard Modernisé in due course, had a remarkable career. It was a humble aircraft that was often faced with thankless and difficult tasks. There was no excessive power in this aircraft, but simply a remarkable versatility that made it the backbone of French carrier aviation for 40 years.
Solid, reliable, well-designed, and adaptable, the Super Étendard was an aircraft that France regularly upgraded, enabling it to maintain its rank with increasingly sophisticated equipment and armaments.

It gained notoriety for its role in anti-ship missions flown by Argentinian pilots, but paradoxically, France never used it in combat in this role. On the other hand, the aircraft was extensively used as a bomber in numerous wars, in a variety of places, including Lebanon, Syria, Yugoslavia, and Afghanistan.
With over 160 images, this book looks at the history of the Super Étendard and the impact it had on aviation.

Jezreel Valley Mysteres : The Mystere Iva in Israeli Air Force Service, Squadron 109, 1956-1968

Israel acquired sixty-one Dassault Mystere IVA combat aircraft from France that were delivered to the Israeli Air Force from April to September 1956 and were issued to two units: Squadron 101 at Hatzor, in the south, and Squadron 109 at Ramat David, in the north.
From 1956 until 1959, and to a lesser extent from 1959 until 1962, the Mystere was the ILAF's cutting-edge interceptor.

From 1959, the Mystere's main mission shifted from air-to-air to air-to-ground, as more modern interceptors - Super Mystere from 1959 and Mirage from 1962 - entered Israeli Air Force service. At the same time, the Israeli Air Force initiated an effort to introduce an attack aircraft to succeed the Mystere.
The Squadron 109 Mystere era therefore covered mostly air-to-air from 1956 until 1962 and mostly air-to-ground from 1962 until 1968.

Le MD 450 Ouragan

Mis au point par les ingénieurs de Marcel Dassault à la fin des années 1940, le MD 450 Ouragan est le premier chasseur à réaction français construit en série. Le premier des trois prototypes décolle le 28 février 1949, avec aux commandes le pilote d'essai Constantin Rozanoff.

À partir de novembre 1950, Dassault sort quatorze appareils de présérie. Le 5 décembre 1951, le premier exemplaire de série vole pour la première fois. Un total de 350 exemplaires sont construits, dont 185 financés par le programme d'aide militaire américain.
Après une carrière opérationnelle dans l'armée de l'Air, il sert dans les écoles de chasse de Meknès (au Maroc) et de Tours. Il est exporté en Inde, et en Israël qui l'engage dans plusieurs conflits. Quelques survivants sont vendus en 1975 au Salvador.

Cette monographie propose l'étude approfondie de l'Ouragan, avec de multiples photographies, des profils en couleur et aussi la carrière de chacun des 350 avions construits, non seulement dans l'armée de l'Air, mais aussi dans les aviations israélienne, indienne et salvadorienne.
Jamais une telle somme n'avait été consacrée au MD 450 Ouragan.

Op basis van de Mirage III ontwikkelde het bedrijf van Marcel Dassault verschillende experimentele militaire prototypes. Hoewel deze nooit operationeel werden ingezet, droegen zij bij aan technische vooruitgang die later in serietoestellen werd toegepast.

Tot nu toe bestond er geen boek dat de oorsprong en de volledige geschiedenis van deze experimentele Mirages beschreef.
