Diepe sporen - Grondverzet in de jaren vijftig, zestig en zeventig

Arie Pieters, woonachtig in 's-Gravendeel, is in het dagelijkse leven o.a. actief als fotograaf, tekstschrijver op het gebied van reclame & promotie en freelance correspondent voor een regiokrant. In 2017 verscheen van zijn hand het boekje 'Everyone loves Jimmy'. Hierin beschreef hij de rol die de legendarische GMC CCKW na de Tweede Wereldoorlog speelde tijdens de wederopbouw van Nederland. Veel GMC's deden toen nog decennia lang dienst, vooral als civiele kipper.

Ook in 'Diepe sporen' is een belangrijke rol weggelegd voor de GMC, maar tevens ook voor de REO, Henschel, Tatra en ander kippers. Daarnaast komt uiteraard de dragline aan bod, want grondverzet zonder dragline was ondenkbaar in de jaren tussen 1950 en 1980.

Brabants transport

Midden-Brabant is the third logistics region in the Netherlands. Many transport companies are located in this region and the trucks that drive there are very recognizable. In this book, a number of companies are featured with an introductory story with the history and other relevant and interesting matters. This is followed by many photos in order from oldest to most recent with informative captions and anecdotes.
A mix of existing and non-existing transport companies was chosen. For a number of companies, more emphasis was placed on a certain period because of the available material.

The final result is a book with interesting companies, special photos from horse and cart to the current Euro-6 trucks, fascinating company histories but above all a beautiful image of the development of both transport and trucks over the years.

Trucks met meerdere levens

De broers Lex en Rik Meeder maken al meer dan 40 jaar foto's van vrachtwagens. In dit boek met voornamenlijk eigen foto's zijn trucks te vinden die meerdere malen en dan in een andere gedaante in hun verzameling voorkomen.
Aan de hand van deze foto's is een opmerkelijk beeld ontstaan van bijna een halve eeuw transport in Nederland.

Hegeman 1923-2009

Ce livre retrace l'histoire de l'entreprise de transport Hegeman de Huissen (NL), de sa fondation en 1923 à sa faillite en 2009.
Hegeman est surtout connu pour ses Macks rouges utilisés dans le transport de pierres. À la fin des années 1960, le bleu est devenu la couleur standard.
Le livre aborde les acquisitions importantes, notamment celle de J.L. Koot NV Rotterdam en 1968, de Gebr. Abrahams en 1976 et de Hoogveld Angeren en 1999. La création d'une GmbH en 1978 est également mentionnée.
Avec environ 500 photos, l'ouvrage offre un aperçu complet de toutes les marques de camions utilisées par Hegeman.

This book deals with the transport of fairground attractions. After a chapter on historical fairground transport, stories about the fair itself follow. Then there are chapters devoted to trucks, trailers, semi-trailers, mid-structure wagons, pastry stalls, food sales wagons and game wagons, as well as power supply.
The book also deals with the aspects of living and life at the fair, followed by special cash registers and transports of operators. Reversing wagons for precise positioning, restored fairground trucks and miniatures are also not lacking.

In the midst of all the transport, the attractions themselves are also highlighted, including tickets, ride tokens, cabin drawings, and there is a register of attractions and operators. With over 700 photographs, the book offers a wonderful overview of the development of fairground transport, with a focus on the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.

Geroeste trucks en bussen

Un camion ou un bus usé et rouillé est beau à voir. Beaucoup de ces véhicules se retrouvent chez les concessionnaires ou à la casse après une vie intensive et laborieuse. Pendant des années, les camions et parfois les bus attendent sur un endroit pour se décomposer lentement.

Visiter un parc à ferraille est une véritable expérience. Les voitures sont souvent mélangées et parfois elles sont complètement absorbées par la nature. Se promener entre tous ces vieux véhicules donne une sensation très spéciale.
