In 2021, the forefather of the modern coach celebrated its 50th anniversary: the Cityliner from Neoplan, developed in Stuttgart and built for a long time. Even today, the world's best-selling coach from today's premium brand MAN Truck & Bus is one of the established names in the bus market and embodies what is technically feasible in a highly attractive "Sharp Cut" design and was awarded the renowned "Coach of the Year" award in 2022.

In addition to describing the technology, model variety, design and customer highlights of the Cityliner, the authors use its model history to trace the development of the modern coach.

Autobusy z Bolechowa 1996-2018: Neoplan, Solaris

This richly illustrated book presents prototypes and serial buses and trolleybuses produced in Bolechowo near Poznań since 1996. The private company of the Olszewski family began with assembly and later developed their own versions of German Neoplan buses. From 1999, vehicles of their own design were produced under the Solaris brand, and from 2001 the Solaris Trollino trolleybuses.

The book also includes visualizations of models that were never produced. Vehicle descriptions are illustrated with numerous photos and drawings and include technical data for selected models.

The manufacturer's success is reflected in the production of over 17.000 buses and trolleybuses in 23 years, with more than 11.000 exported to many countries. Illustrations were provided by Solaris Bus & Coach.
