Alfa Romeo AR 51-AR 52 - Alfa 'Matta'
In 1951, Alfa Romeo developed a utility vehicle for the Italian Defense Ministry. Designed by Giuseppe Busso and based on the Alfa 1900, it was produced in two versions: the military AR 51 and the civilian AR 52. The model earned the nickname Alfa Matta, which means crazy in Italian.
This book provides a wide range of technical data and explores the racing history of specific units, including their participation in the 1952 Mille Miglia. It also features numerous illustrations that serve as a practical guide for those restoring these vintage vehicles.
