This motorcycle workshop manual covers 1968-1978 Maico piston-port Motocross, Enduro and Gelände Sport (GS) models. Originally published by Floyd Clymer in 1969, it covered 1969 and earlier 250 cc and 360 cc models. This 2025 edition retains the original material and expands coverage to 1970 and later 400 cc, 450 cc and 501cc models.

A 10-page appendix covers 1973 and later 250 cc, 400 cc, 440 cc and 501cc models, extending coverage through 1975 and, for some models, through 1978. It includes exploded parts diagrams and component lists for the engine, front forks, swing arm, rear suspension, hubs and brakes, plus detailed specifications and wiring diagrams for models with and without lights.

The manual also restores the "Competition Preparation" chapter omitted from later Clymer editions. It provides technical reference information for maintenance, repair and competition preparation of these motorcycles.
