In its original format, this manual covered the Porsche 911 models through the 1978 model year. While this manual focuses on the 1973-1989 G series 911, much of the information is also applicable to the earlier 2.4 Litre (1971-73) models destined for the U.S.A., Australia, Japan and Canada that, due to emission requirements, were fitted with Bosch mechanical fuel injection (FIP).
