Autobooks Owners Workshop Manuals - for classic cars and vans
The British company Autobooks Ltd from Brighton published an extensive series of more than one hundred repair manuals from the early 1960s to the mid-1970s. These "Owners Workshop Manuals" cover the most popular European, Japanese and American cars of the time. They have become an indispensable source of information for classic car enthusiasts.
Autobooks repair manuals contain much more information than the - now hard to find - manual that the manufacturer supplied with each new car. These books have been unavailable for years, but Brooklands Books (UK) and VelocePress (USA) have teamed up to publish a growing number of reprints of the Autobooks "Owners Workshop Manuals".
Publisher: Brooklands Books Ltd, Cobham, Surrey (GB) / VelocePress, Reno, Nevada (USA)
Size: 23.5 x 19 cm (9.25 x 7.5 in) or 29 x 21 cm (11.4 x 8.25 in), paperback

Automatic transmissions: Because special tools and special adjustment equipment are required, the overhaul of automatic transmissions (specialist work!) is not covered in these books, but they usually provide instructions for replacing the ATF fluid and adjusting the controls. Wiring diagrams: Autobooks Owners Workshop Manuals contain clear wiring diagrams.
