Jawa Motorräder
A comprehensive documentation of the Jawa motorcycle brand. The history of this traditional Czech brand is researched and described in a multifaceted way, using both words and pictures, and is supplemented with brief analyses of the economic and political eras of the company and the nation.
The book is divided into three main sections: the company history with a description of its most important models, the sporting section with highlights in road racing, motocross and off-road racing, as well as track racing, and finally with extensive tables of production and sporting achievements.
Thanks to the support of renowned authors, photographers, specialists, collectors, museums, and companies, all the way back to the parent company in Tynec nad Sazavou, the whole thing has become a "runde Sache". The most important models are presented in their own chapters; even Velorex has its own chapter, as does the presentation of car production.
At the end of the book, the reader can review the interesting "Jawa-Szene" of the former GDR in a special chapter.
It is no exaggeration to say that there has never been such a comprehensive documentation of Jawa over its entire 80-year history. The majority of the extensive photographic material has never been published before.
