Benelli e motoBi. Due storie in moto

As only the greats knew how to do, Benelli linked its image to an engine, the single-cylinder single-shaft driven by a cascade of gears, which in the 1930s had no rivals in the popular 175 class. Grown to 250 and switched to twin-shaft distribution, the Benelli engine reached the peak of its development after the war, leading Dario Ambrosini to the world title in 1950.

Ten years later, the technical evolution of Grand Prix engines demanded a greater fractioning and at Benelli they did not hesitate to design and build a stunning four-cylinder that, refined year after year, not only allowed Australian rider Kelvin Carruthers to win the world title in the 250 class in 1969, but increased to 350 and then 500, was able to challenge, often winning from, the formidable MV Agustas in the most prestigious classes.

Benelli and MotoBi, two manufacturers are finally reunited in a single volume dedicated to the tale of their sporting history, undoubtedly one of the most fascinating in the motorcycling firmament.
