For four years, the two construction machinery historians researched countless sources intensively and searched many archives for rare images, documents and information.
Conversations with current and former employees of the excavator works in Germany and France helped to shed light on the technical connections. Contemporary witnesses also reported on encounters with the visionary and company founder Hans Liebherr.
