La Terrot de mon père
The 1950s and 1960s were fascinating, the years of renewed peace and a return to prosperity. During this period of our history, the French motorcycle industry was going through a serious crisis. Sales of large-displacement machines were falling significantly.
Terrot, the largest French motorcycle company, to deal with this crisis, rightly focused on small-displacement motorcycles. For nearly ten years, the Dijon company produced excellent 125 and 175 cm³ motorcycles.
Evolution of a project dating back to 1939 and stopped by the outbreak of the Second World War, they were to be very successful. Solid and fuel-efficient, they allowed thousands of people to transport themselves at a lower cost. They will introduce many to the joys of motorcycling.
Many examples have survived and have become collector's motorcycles today, the object of a real craze for the Dijon firm. This book contains many period documents, unpublished photos and technical characteristics of the different models.
