Moto Gilera - Un secolo di tecnica e sport
The origins of Gilera in the motorcycle world go back to 1909 when Giuseppe Gilera established this brand destined to leave a profound mark on motorcycling history, and not only that of Italy. The remarkable entrepreneurial ability of Gilera enabled the Arcore company to achieve great notoriety, both in the area of production bikes and in racing even before the Second World War, with two victories in the international 6 Days of regularity as well as success in the European Championship for speed.
The sports commitment of the company remained a constant in subsequent decades until the Nineties. After a century, Gilera is now writing yet another chapter in its fascinating history in the field of scooters.
The industrial and sports history, but above all a systematic catalogue of all the models constructed by Gilera since 1909 to the present day, constitute the fundamental parts of this work, destined to become an authentic point of reference for all motorcycle enthusiasts, those of Gilera in particular.
