La Peugeot 404 - La lionne de Sochaux (Top Model)
This book traces the history of the Peugeot 404, introduced in May 1960. Symbol of the revival of the Franche-Comté manufacturer, the model stands out radically from its predecessors in its aesthetic and dynamic qualities.
Retaining the robustness specific to Sochaux productions, the pretty saloon designed by Pininfarina quickly established itself among the references of the moment: comfortable, modern and efficient, it perfectly embodies the ideal of the middle classes.
A true icon of the 1960s, it was the first French production car to adopt fuel injection. A real range was set up, including the essential family and commercial vehicles, but also the delightful coupés and convertibles.
In the 1970s, the 404 found a new lease of life in export, in Africa, Asia and South America, where it brilliantly carried the brand's colours. A long career that ended in 1988, with a total production of almost three million units.

La Peugeot 504 Coupé et Cabriolet de mon père
Appearing at the end of the 1960s, the 504 coupés and convertibles combined Latin elegance with Franche-Comté reliability. Designed in close collaboration with Carrozzeria Pininfarina, these prestigious Franco-Italian creations stood out for their excellent performance, driven by the dynamic image of the attractive 504 injection saloon, the benchmark in its category.
The brand's flagships, the coupé and convertible would have an exceptionally long career that only ended in the early 1980s. Fifteen years during which they underwent several significant stylistic developments, and above all a powerful V6 that allowed them to win numerous competition victories.

Peugeot 204 et 304, une révolution à Sochaux (Top Model)
The Peugeot 204 made an impression with its large grille and cutting-edge design that resolutely turned its back on the tried and tested solutions of the 202, 203, 403 and 404 that had made the brand successful. The 204 was the revolution in Sochaux, the one that brought Peugeot into the circle of major manufacturers by considerably expanding its distribution.
The 304, a 7 hp version of the 204, launched in 1969, further strengthened the manufacturer's positions in France and Europe, before taking over from its predecessor.
All versions combined, nearly three million 204s and 304s were ultimately built when the production lines stopped in 1980. This book offers you a look back at this wonderful adventure.

La Peugeot 504 de mon père
Produced in nearly 4 million copies of all versions combined, the one that was due to come out in June 1968, and whose launch was delayed by a few months due to strikes, would remain the most produced Peugeot of all time before being beaten in the 1990s by a certain 205 (5 million copies).
From the utility version to the elitist coupes and convertibles designed and assembled by the Italian coachbuilder Pininfarina, including the unbreakable saloon that would strengthen the image of the Sochaux-based manufacturer, particularly in Africa, the 504 would take part in most of the major rallies of the 1970s.

Peugeot 504 - Modellgeschichte 1968-1983
The Peugeot 504 appeared in 1968 as a replacement for the 404 and over the years developed into one of the biggest sales successes, not only in France: By 1983, around 3.7 million units of the model series had left the production halls.
This book describes the technology and development of the series from 1968 to 1983 in detail, lists all the important model changes, contains all the technical data and an overview of the 504 Motorsport.
Anyone planning to buy a Peugeot 504 as a classic or youngtimer will find the right guide in this book. The Peugeot 504 and its model variants are presented: 504 Limousine, 504 Break, 504 Coupé, 504 Cabriolet, 504 Pickup and 504 Dangel 4x4
In France, the Peugeot 504 was popular as a comfortable family car, and also served as a taxi and ambulance. The all-wheel drive pickup and estate models were ordered primarily by forestry authorities and the fire service.
Sporty drivers who did not want to forego a certain level of comfort were appealed to with the attractively designed coupé and cabriolet models, which were also available with a V6 engine at times, while the other models were powered by four-cylinder petrol or diesel engines. The V6 coupé won numerous victories in the World Rally Championship.
377 contemporary photographs show all of these different models.
