Der erste Käfer: Wiedergeburt des VW 30

Dit boek vertelt het verhaal van de vroege ontwikkeling van de Volkswagen Kever. Jarenlang werd gedacht dat alle prototypen vernietigd waren. Maar op een autosloperij in Oostenrijk werd een bijzondere vondst gedaan: originele onderdelen van een "VW 30"-prototype.
Deze auto's werden tussen 1936 en 1938 gebouwd en legden samen zo'n twee miljoen testkilometers af. Ze waren van groot belang voor het latere succes van de Kever, waarvan tussen 1938 en 2003 meer dan 21 miljoen exemplaren werden geproduceerd.
