Skoda : Driven by Design
Skoda is one of the oldest car manufacturers in the world, founded in 1895 by Vaclav Klement and Vaclav Laurin. Initially, the company was named after its founders, but its headquarters have always been in Mlada Boleslav, northeast of Prague.
Skoda is known for its emotional and modern designs, from the hand-built Skoda 860 (1929-1933) and the Skoda Popular Monte Carlo (1935-1938) to the Skoda Octavia Combi (1961-1971).
On April 16, 1991, "Skoda Automobil AG" became part of the Volkswagen Group. Despite this change, the brand's essence remains the same: Skodas inspire dreams, offering a unique approach to mobility by highlighting the creativity behind automotive innovation.
This book is a captivating read for car enthusiasts and design experts alike.
