In 2015, Mini Plant Oxford produced over 201.000 cars. With a workforce of around 4.500 people, the plant can build up to 1.000 cars per day. Plant Oxford assembles Minis, with body panels from Plant Swindon and engines from Plant Hams Hall near Birmingham.

Automated robots join the body panels to create a 'body in white, ' which then moves through the factory to the paint shop. After painting, the body is fitted with the engine, suspension, interior panels, trim, and other components to complete the car.
