Lancia 037 - The Development & Rally History of a World Champion

In the late 1970s, constant rule changes made competing in the World Rally Championship difficult. This book explains how Lancia responded with the 037 rally car and explores the regulations that teams had to follow to remain competitive.

Developed rapidly to challenge the Audi Quattro, the Lancia 037 succeeded thanks to careful design choices. With the close involvement of designer and chief engineer Ing. Sergio Limone, the book offers detailed insight into the secret development process. It describes how Limone determined the car's layout within the limits of the rules, and how testing took place in secrecy at Fiat's facilities around Turin.

The story is supported by Limone's own photographs from restricted areas, giving a rare behind-the-scenes view.
