AC Ace, Aceca, Greyhound (1953-1962) - Brooklands Portfolio

The AC Ace debuted at the 1953 London Motor Show, surprising the public. By spring 1954, the production prototype was on the road, and the first customer cars were delivered in May. Aces soon appeared in competitive events, and in October, the Aceca was announced, featuring the Ace's underpinnings with a beautifully sculpted light alloy coupe body.

The Greyhound was introduced in 1959, initially receiving mixed reactions to its styling, leading to a quick revision and reintroduction. In 1961, due to difficulties in obtaining Bristol engines, the Ace and Aceca were offered with a Ford Zephyr 2.6 6-cylinder engine.

This book replaces the Brooklands title 'AC & Aceca 1953-1983, ' published nearly 40 years ago. Most articles are from the larger book 'AC Cars 1904-2011, ' but this title is updated to include the Greyhound and features new articles from 2012.
